Desnudate

Dear friends,

Do you like being naked? I am not asking for any perverted reason, just a genuine question, do you like being naked? I have been asking this question for the last few weeks, and I have found that of the small sample of people I asked most of them said no. Well it wasn't just no, it got down to no eventually when I meant just getting naked for your own reasons, and nothing else involved. Which is why I was interested to hear some of the answers I got, and a lot of the feelings I have about the responses I got.

Let’s get the big one out of the way, sex. It turns out a small amount of people only enjoy being naked with another person. Which I kinda understand, I think. I think it's got something to do with looking at someone else who is naked, and the enjoyment that comes from that. Then I guess there is also the showing off aspect of it. But then the people who then said they don't even enjoy being naked with other people, which was another interesting idea.

I think not liking being naked with other people could be a body issue. Which is something I will think about more another time, but I understand why some people might have an issue with it. As I have been that person at one time or another, where I am not happy with the way I look and I feel like I should definitely not be naked. Which I have gotten over, over time and the people I have been with, but that took a long time, but I will discuss that at another time. 

The people who enjoyed being naked, as small as the number was, were interested in some of the conditions people need to be nude. A lot of people had an issue with warmth, that it is very much a summertime thing, or warm beach kind of thing. Which is self explanatory as you know clothes keep in heat I’m, and in warm weather we are trying to avoid the heat. It all makes sense to me. 

What was very few were the people who were willing to get nude just about anywhere. Whether it be at home, or in public or somewhere warm. This was only two people, which once again I understood but once again was shocked by. I don't know if this was a fear of other people looking, or the shame some people feel about being naked, I don't know. But what I do know there was a lack of people willing to be nude in public. 

When I say being nude in public I don't mean walking down the street with no clothes on, that's called streaking and a post for another time. I am talking about areas in which you can be nude and no one would ever bat an eye. Your changing rooms and nude beaches and any other nudist events you can think of. The amount of people who said they were okay being naked, but so long as no one could seem them was a little heartbreaking. I think I know why, but I can expect to know why everyone thinks this way or that way. 

Now it wouldn’t be me if i didn't talk about my own personal experience, so here we go. I enjoy being nude from time to time. Not all the time but sometimes as a person who sweats a lot, even in cold weather it is nice to not have to worry about things sticking to me. Now I don't mind being nude in my own space, or being nude around people who happen to be there too. I’m just okay with doing me. A lot of the time I don't think about it, I just do it and then remember who is around me. I like to think that is a lot more to do with my IDGAF attitude, but really it's most likely due to routine and my normal behavior. 

Which is something I thought about when I thought about writing this, what is and has been my normal behavior about me getting naked. For me it has been something normal and nothing I have ever really thought about in situations. From a young age to an older age I just got on with it and not really worried about it. However, I do know in recent memory I’ve had an issue when changing at the gym, and doing the under the tower shuffle. Which was a whole mess of insecurities, but now I’m back to not really thinking about it. I just do what I got to. Which is probably why I am okay with nudity. I know some people's upbringing has changed the way they see nudity, as I don't think I was ever really told to keep my clothes on. I don't really have an issue with it. Or being told when going to and from the bath I need to cover up. So because nothing was made of it, i make nothing of it. Whereas if it's made a big deal sometimes that can affect people in different ways. 

I hope talking about this has made you realise your attitude and stance with nudity. If you enjoy it cool, if you dont what’s the reason? Just don't do what some people did when I was researching and make racial stereotypes because it's never cool. And if you just only like to be nude to shower, that's cool. But also think about when you are around others, because most people don't care, or if they do they will be very “normal” about it and say nothing. Hope you Denudate soon.
