Absolutely Fabulous: Bucks Fizz

Dear Friends,

I’ve never claimed to be fancy, but sometimes I like to masquerade as a fancy person. One of these facades came about a good few years ago, when I decided I was going to wake up in Buck’s Fizz. To add to this idea of sophistication, I decided to go up market a bit and go for M&S Buck’s Fizz. Since then, I have not drunk anything else on my birthday or Christmas.

You heard me right, on my birthday and Christmas Day I don’t start with a hearty or unhealthy breakfast I start with a glass of the bubbly. Despite what my family thought I am not an alcoholic; I just like a bit of the fizzy stuff on special occasions. Which happens to be orange juice and white wine.

While I know anyone can make a Buck’s Fizz or mimosa if you want to get American about it. I just enjoy the M&S one as it is smooth, has nice alcohol to orange ratio. While it’s also allows me to drink a whole bottle and not get wasted, just a little tipsy. While for the price is just right, as normally at Christmas I can get two for fiver and that is fabulous.

If you’re looking for something to serve this Christmas that is low alcohol I can honestly recommend after years of exposure a bottle of the fizz. As Mr. Bond has his Bollinger and FabEs has his bucks’ fizz, not any bucks fizz, M&S Buck’s Fizz.
