Rescue Squadron International Version 2
The city was on fire, the way the sun was setting made city look as if all its building were on burning. The streets was also only on fire, due to the busy workers commencement their commute home, or going for their numerous after work activities. Which is why, no one expected the headquarters of Hampton City bank to explode.
The first explosion was a little one, right at the top of the skyscraper. It shattered the windows and, let out black smoke billow out where the explosion had been. After a few seconds four more quick detonations happened all around the building. Sending more shards flying and created a panic amongst the people around the building.
The people were in a frenzy; trying to escape from the sudden blasts and trying to avoid the falling glass. While the people inside the building were trying to flee. Even though the day had ended, there were still a few individuals inside. No one outside cared for them, as they were trying to make sure they got to safety. The panic got even more erratic, as one more detonation went off and it was a big one.
The detonation happened in the middle of the building, the eruption was so large, it caused damage to three floors. It left them hollowed out and completely charcoal black. It had also started a fire on one the lower floors. Anyone who was still in the top floors of the building were trapped, with no way of escape.
A minute later a thundering siren could be herd, as a large white vehicle, was making its way to towards the building. The vehicle was wide as the street it was driving on, it’s axels were so large; it was easily driving over the cars, without any chance of hitting them or running them over, with its colossal wheels. Its height was over sixty feet tall, taller than most of the building it was passing. Its length was at least three times its height. It was a large van, with flashing purple, orange, and green lights. The vehicle come to a stop quite far from the bank’s headquarters, as the people trying to escape, and congestion of cars wouldn’t allow it to go any further. When it stopped a door on the left-hand side appeared, a ramp fell to the floor and out rolled a large green ambulance, then followed by a slightly larger orange fire truck.
The convoy headed toward the building; as they were slightly smaller than the bigger truck they came from; they were able to manoeuvre themselves thought the people, traffic, and came to a halt right next the bank’s headquarters.
A short, black woman came out, from the ambulance. She was slim, dressed in a tight, white body suit with a green sash, and utility belt of medical supplies. Her hair was shoulder length and with big curls. ‘Sir are you alright,’ she asked, rushing over to a man lying on the ground. She checked for a pulse; he was still alive. ‘Spark, prep Rescue Two for multiple medical Evac.’ She said to a communicator on her wrist. She looked up and saw the many individuals staggering, with injuries and some lying motionless on the ground, ‘Circuit I need assistance.’
A robot came from inside from the ambulance. It was the same size as the woman, and was shaped like an inverted triangle, it a had small spat head on top of the shape; it was manoeuvring on a ballpoint. It rolled thought the crowd, as it did, a red beam came from its head. It moved swiftly through the people and came a halt. It moved its head up the building, and scanned it, its beam getting bigger and wider. The robot quickly returned to the woman.
‘Five critically injured, no fatalities,’ said the robot, ‘I have detected several life signs in the top of the building. Rescue Three launch ladder to rescue.’
‘Circuit usher the abled to the Rescue Two, and mark the critical patients,’ said the woman. She put a pair of glasses on and then went to off help the people.
The fire truck lunched its ladder and extended it towards the upper part of the building. As it extended, a figure could be seen running along the ladder then made a leap into the building and landed with a roll. The figure was an Asian man, who was wearing a clear mask over his face. His hair was short jet back, he was in a light blue suit like the woman, but his belt had a gun and night stick.
‘Rescue One inside,’ he said, ‘Spark lunch mobile unit.’ He was joined by a small white round robot, hovering just above his shoulder. This smaller robot had one bright blue light in the middle. ‘How many inside?’
‘I’m detecting three life forms on two floors up, and several below.’ said Spark, ‘I have alerted Circuit to their presence,’
Without saying another word, the man ran from the room, up the stairs. Spark kept up and was keeping the man informed of the precise locations. When they entered the room, they tracked they found two women lying on the floor.
‘Both women are unconscious, and unharmed,’ Spark said, ‘The third life sign has disappeared.’
‘Did they die?’ He asked, the robot.
‘No,’ said the android, after a moment. ‘It has just moved.’
‘Where?’
‘One floor up.’
‘Two found, preparing for evac,’ said Rescue One, to his communicator. ‘Going after third, Rescue Two and Three report in.’
‘Medical Evac almost complete,’ responded Rescue two. ‘Getting all persons on board’
‘Fire is almost out,’ piped in Rescue three.
‘Confirmed,’ said Rescue one. Rescue One walked over to each of the women and place and small circular device on their chest. He then pressed a button on his communicator, and the two bodies began to glow and float. ‘Spark get them to Rescue Two, I’m going after the last person.’ Spark went of the room the same way he came, and the two bodies slowly followed behind him, while Rescue One went back to the staircase to looking the last person trapped. As he walked into the upper floor, there was nothing or no one inside the room. This must have been an empty office space, there was no sign where the person could be.
We meet again, Satoru Soma,’ said a voice behind Rescue One.
Satoru turned around, and saw Train standing there. He was a large beefy man, covered in the bronze metallic amour, from his neck down. His head was inside a large dome; his face was pale, and he had bald head with massive violet mark on the left side.
‘Why destroy this building?’ asked Satoru, ‘there’s no money here, it’s just an office.’
‘It doesn’t mean it you wouldn’t show up,’ said Train.
‘All this, to get us here?’
‘And to kill you.’
Outside things were looking good. Rescue Two had managed to get to all the injured and the shocked and ushering people on the Rescue Vehicle Two. Rescue Three had managed to put out the fire, just as Spark was coming over the ladder with the two rescued from the building.
‘Rescue Three to Rescue Two, fires out, two civilians rescued, just waiting for the last civilian and Rescue One,’ Rescue Three said, from inside his rescue vehicle.
‘Roger that,’ said Rescue Two.
Rescue Three emerged wearing identical body suit like the other two, but his was charcoal grey. Head a small belt and single suspender, with a light hanging from it. He had a low shaved auburn hair, a big muscular build, and light completion. ‘Rescue One what’s your status,’ said Rescue Three, into his communicator as he met with Rescue Two.
Before anyone could respond, there was a large boom, and the top section of Hampton Bank Headquarters exploded. This time there wasn’t a fire, it just exploded leaving nothing but half a building billowing with dark smoke raising towards the sky.
‘Rescue One, come in,’ shouted Rescue Two into her communicator. there was no response.
Before there was time to register the loss off their partner, eight fighter jets sored overhead, taking their attention, followed by a mothership. The fighter jets went over head again this time shooting at the cars blocking the road, making them explode and clearing a path towards Rescue Two and Three. As the mothership was got closer, it released half a dozen rectangular pods, when the pod hit the ground, each cracked open to release fifty sliver body and yellowed head droids. They begin to match in unison towards to take on their adversaries.
‘We need to get out of here now!’ said Rescue Three.
‘Spark any remain, civilians?’ asked Rescue Two.
‘Only one life signal coming from the building,’ replied the droid.
‘Rescue One?’ Rescue Two asked.
‘No idea let’s go,’ said Rescue Three, running towards the building with Rescue Two following right behind. Just before they reached the steps of the building, something was thrown at the two. It was a Grenade! Both managed to roll out of the way of the blast but landed right next to another one. They both dived out of the way, but this time they were slight caught by the burst, sending them crashing to the floor.
Both shook off the minor damage, and soon realised they were now trapped. The droid force that was pursing them had advanced to there the two Rescue Vehicles were. They also had spread out their forces, moving in from all sides.
‘Parker Creighton and Jackie Heart, nice to see you again,’ said Train, appearing from nowhere. ‘As for Satoru he’s already met his end.’
‘Why?’ asked Rescue Three.
‘Because I can!’
Train had them at his mercy; there was nowhere for them to run. Jackie and Parker both got up to their feet. Rescue Vehicles Two and Three were surrounded and were about to be boarded. The mothership was steady in place over head, and in front of them was Train and his forces. There was no way they were going to make it out alive.
‘Say goodbye,’ said Train, but before his forces could begin their attack, there was a loud siren, and Rescue Double Zero was making its way towards the armada. Since everything in its way had been destroyed, it was now crushing the carcasses of the damaged cars on its way towards the other rescue vehicles and was crushing any droids in its path.
The fighter jets had circled back to take shoots and the massive machine, but the Double Zero produced two great laser targeting guns, and shot down each of the jets, making them fall out of the sky in a fiery wreck. The guns then turned towards the droids trying to breach the Rescue vehicles, and with pinpoint precision were able to stop the attempted breach.
‘Rescue Vehicle Two, take all civils to a local medical facility,’ said Rescue Two, to the communicator. Vehicle Two respond immediately, blaring its siren and self-drove down the road at top speed.
Rescue double Zero continued to clear a path for Rescue Two to make its way. There were still many more droids trying to surround them. Train had been watching the commotion hadn’t moved yet, but the two knew any attempt to run would see them being shot.
Finally Rescue Double Zero had finally stop shooting and come to a stop, and the minute it did something lunched from the top hatch and shot towards Train and the droid army. The bullets didn’t have an effect to his body armour, but did send him a few steps back, and few more and few more till the gun’s clip was empty. Satoru landed in front of Jackie and Parker, holding twin desert eagle pistols.
‘Rescue One, Satoru Soma, back in action,’ said Satoru.
‘You had to make a showy entrance,’ Parker.
‘It’s what he does,’ said Jackie.
‘Let’s go,’ said Satoru.
All three pulled a leaver on their communicator to revel a small tray, and pulled out a small clear plastic card, with a large chip in it. Then placed the cards on the tray and pushed it back up.
‘Emergency International!’ they yelled.
